The Halifax Ukulele Gang usually meets on the first Monday of each month from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Celtic Corner pub on Alderney Drive in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The purpose of Halifax Ukulele Gang (H.U.G.) is to have fun, learn how to play ukulele, and grow as musicians.
You can attend without owning or having picked up a musical instrument. If you have always wanted to play a musical instrument but have thought it was too difficult, then the Ukulele is the instrument for you. It’s a very easy and fun instrument to learn to play. We play and sing songs together, learn new songs and help beginners learn their way around the ukulele.
There is no cost to attend a meeting. So whether you’re an ‘Uker’ or not, please come join us for one of our meetings. There will be at least one extra ukulele on hand, so if you own more than one ukulele (and you don’t mind sharing), bring your extras so that everyone can join in on the strum/sing alongs.
my wife and I are travelling in Nova scotia in late june and early july–can we join your july jam? when is it and where?

Hi, I just bought a Ukulele and it’s the first instrument that I play and I really love it. I think that I just found a great gang… Do you post in advance the dates of the gigs or events?
Thanks,
Sandra Brassard
I want to learn how to play the ukele and I am left handed? Can you recommend a teacher for me?
